Cepêra Green Malagueta Pepper 50g
Green Malagueta Pepper is a variation of the traditional malagueta pepper, characterized by being younger and not yet fully ripe. This pepper is commonly used in Brazilian cuisine and in several other parts of Latin America. When still green, it has a fresher flavor but is also quite hot. In terms of intensity, green malagueta peppers range from 50,000 to 100,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), placing them in a very high heat category. They are used in a variety of preparations, from sauces and marinades to traditional dishes like acarajé, moqueca, and other regional specialties. In addition to their spiciness, green malagueta peppers offer a touch of freshness, as they haven't yet reached full maturity. When ripe (red), their heat tends to be more intense and the flavor more complex.
