Widely used in cooking—especially in Brazilian cuisine—black beans are a key ingredient in traditional dishes like feijoada. In addition to their distinct flavor, black beans are rich in nutrients, including fiber, protein, iron, folate, and antioxidants.
Recipe:
Traditional Black Beans
– Ingredients:
500g Pantera Black Beans
1 small onion, chopped
6 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons of oil
3 liters of water
– Preparation:
Rinse the beans thoroughly and place them in a plastic container.
Boil 1 liter of water and pour it over the beans. Cover and let soak for about 30 minutes.
Transfer the beans and soaking water to a pressure cooker. Add the remaining 2 liters of water.
Close the lid and cook for about 30 minutes after the cooker reaches pressure.
In another pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic. Add the sausage, stirring constantly to cook evenly.
Add the cooked beans, seasoning powder, and salt.
Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
